And suddenly December has arrived again, the last few months just flew by.  Christmas is coming  soon - this year with a Christmas concert in our festive barn and with dear guests. I'm also looking forward to the release of Penny Pepper 11 at the end of the months and even more to Penny Pepper volume 12 on which I'm working right now and which will come out next year. In 2024 the Penny Pepper series will be ten years old, can you believe it! This is quite the achievement in a time like ours, where books quickly disappear from the shelves only a few months after publication.Congratulations, little Penny! There will be lots of giveaways online next fall, so check my Instagram and Lovelybooks pages for updates.

Summer is in it's final phase and even though I don't look forward to the torrential rains of fall I can't quite help feeling a sense of relief not having to constantly garden for a few months. We're having a big "Barn raising" soon which also starts the quiet season where I hopefully have more time for writing again.

But the good news for now: There will be another volume of Penny pepper! Yay! Penny Pepper 12 will come out in 2024 which also marks the 10-year anniversary of the series. Is that something to celebrate, or what?!

Also  my book "The Petsitter Club" will finally be released next year. Due to Covid the poor book was pushed at the end of the line over and over again and at times I felt like it would never see the light of day. But now it really will be out next year - a delightful story about four friends and their adventures as petsitter. I hope you like it!

And suddenly it's summer. This year it feels particularly nice, because we finally finished our swim pond and the restoration of our old dairy barn. It turned out beautiful!

I will use the warm season for traveling and working in house and garden before the nine month rain period starts again in October.  My new children's book is being edited as we speak and there are new projects being planned. We'll see what comes of it. For now I can announce ab short story in a Christmas collection by dtv, coming out in the Fall.

According to that saying we are going to drown in a sea of flowers in May because it has been raining nonstop for weeks. But hey - at least our barn removal is almost done, although it took it's sweet time.

I am also pleased to finally show the cover of Penny Pepper volume 11 which will be released in December 23.  "Robbery at the chicken coop" is a new case for our hardened detective gang and this time a crime is committed on a farm!
